NATO Straps are no longer NATO Straps
We have sold NATO Straps under product names including NATO for many years, but are removing NATO from our product names.
A company in the U.S. has trademarked NATO
In the U.S., a company has registered the NATO trademark, and anyone cannot use the term "NATO Strap" without paying a trademark fee to that company.
Unauthorized use often results in product concealment, suspension or withholding of payment by lawyers and local courts, and a growing number of global brands are no longer labeling their products as NATO Strap.
Our Decision
If the product is only sold in Japan, this may not be a problem. However, if the product is available in the U.S., this problem cannot be avoided.
We cannot pay trademark usage fees to such companies.
We will continue to sell the NATO straps we have been selling as military straps from now on, although we may post them as NATO straps in advertisements and other media in Japan. Of course, they are the same products as before.
We look forward to your continued support and are sorry to be involved.
